Junior Product Consultant at PlotBox

What we need

We pride ourselves on delivering world class solutions to our clients and rely on our talented and experienced Technology team to work together with Delivery to ensure product releases are delivered to the very best quality. 

You will actively participate in meetings with our customers in multiple regions, working closely with the customer success team to understand customer needs.  The majority of this happens remotely, however international travel may be required. 

Responsibilities

As Junior Product Consultant at PlotBox, you will be expected to 

• Contribute to the discovery of user needs and relay these back to the team in the form of user stories
• Manage these user stories within a prioritised backlog and work with the product and development teams to carry them through to completion.
• Articulate problems and processes in a way which is understandable to key stakeholders, both business and technical, and
• facilitate the analysis and design of effective solutions.
• You will also work closely with the delivery team to help guide clients through the implementation stage, ensuring that they get the most value from the product.

Who we think will be a great fit

This is a role you can grow into so we don’t expect you to have loads of experience in a similar role but, ideally, you will have some or all of the following:

• Experience of working with customers in a discovery process
• Experience of providing guidance and support to customers embarking on digital transformation
• Knowledge of agile ways of working and Software Development Life Cycle

ESSENTIAL:   

To excel in this role, you will:

• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate issues to technical and non-technical people and the ability to produce written documentation to a high standard
• Have a passion for technology, and how it can be used to reimagine and transform user experiences
• Be a logical problem solver with a track record of good analytical skills
• Have the ability to relate to customers and team stakeholders, whilst being comfortable in challenging where appropriate
• Be motivated to develop skills and experience to take a front facing role within the team
• Be a comfortable and competent facilitator of small groups to achieve focused outcomes
• Be able to work flexibly and to tight deadlines
• Be comfortable working on own initiative and in a collaborative team environment
• Have broad business and technology understanding and a proven awareness of industry trends
• Good knowledge and understanding of business processes and be able to articulate these in a way that all stakeholders will understand

DESIRABLE:  

Ideally you will have some experience of:

• Working with clients, or producing deliverables for clients
• Experience of software development or related problem-solving discipline within the technology industry
• Experience working as a BA on one or more projects
• Stakeholder management experience
• Ability to identify areas of improvement, and actively seek out opportunities within project to progress skills
• Ability to recognise potential risks such as scope creep, and highlight these to product owner within the team

but this is not a dealbreaker! We are more than happy to hear from you if you are keen to learn these aspects on the job.
