Reporting to: Head of Culture & Talent 

 

As a Talent Partner at PlotBox, you will play a crucial role in attracting, selecting, and integrating top talent into our dynamic team. You will own the end-to-end recruitment process and work closely with managers to ensure the successful transition from candidate to employee.

 

In addition, you will support the Head of Culture and Talent to embed and maintain high-quality, effective talent development and retention strategies and will work closely with managers to build high-performing teams. As such this will be a key role in the broader HR space where you can make a real difference to our people and culture function. 

 

This is not a static role and will grow and evolve as the Company does.  We want someone who has the appetite to grow and develop with PlotBox and become a key member of the People and Culture Team.

 

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Talent Sourcing and Recruitment
  • Collaborate with department and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Manage overall hiring and recruitment budget, providing management information to SMT as required
  • Utilise various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, networking, and referrals, to identify potential candidates.
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings, interviews, and assessments to evaluate qualifications, skills, and cultural fit.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from posting job ads to extending offers and negotiating terms.
  • Utilise various methods of assessment to ensure we are selecting the best person for the role
  • Advise and guide managers in best practice methods and ensure our recruitment and selection practices are legally compliant and effective
  • Proactively scan and utilise data and trends in tech hiring to drive decisions and strategies
     
  • Onboarding and Orientation
  • Conduct effective pre-boarding with new hires - reference checking, right to work checks etc
  • Implement and continually improve our comprehensive onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure that new employees have the necessary tools, equipment, and access on their first day.
  • Facilitate induction sessions to introduce new hires to the company's culture, policies, and values.
  • Ensure that  onboarding materials, including welcome packs, training guides, and schedules, onboarding tasks are completed in a timely fashion
  • Maintain regular contact with new employees and their managers to support the first 6 months of employment (probation)
  • Continually seek to improve these processes.
     
  • Candidate/Employee Experience
  • Provide an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Communicate effectively with candidates, keeping them informed about their application status.
  • Gather feedback from candidates and hiring teams and continuously improve the recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Ensure new hires feel they’ve made the right decision to join PlotBox, ensuring they start to add value in their roles as early as possible
     
  • Data Management Reporting and Administration
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records and information in the applicant tracking system.
  • Generate regular reports and analytics on recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and candidate demographics, quality of hires.
  • Ensure all new employees are added to the necessary systems (payroll/HR/Benefits)
  • You will become an expert in our HR Operations system, ensuring that employees and managers are utilising it in their talent development conversations
     
  • Employer Branding
  • Contribute to enhancing PlotBox's employer brand through effective communication of the company's values and culture.
  • Collaborate with the relevant internal teams to create compelling job descriptions and recruitment marketing materials.
  • Drive strategies to ensure the EVP is well communicated and supported by engaging and authentic employee generated content
     
  • Ongoing HR and Talent Development
  • Create and embed talent strategies which enable PlotBox to grow and develop its talent and allows our people to have fulfilling careers here
  • Help to create a coaching culture to contribute to high-performance
  • Partner with managers to enhance their people hiring and people management capabilities
  • Enable PlotBox to build robustness and embed succession planning to become the norm

Who we think will be a great fit:

Qualifications & Experience:

You will have: 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or other related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of in-house recruitment, talent acquisition, and onboarding processes for technical roles.
  • HR admin experience and strong understanding of talent management and performance management would be an advantage

Essential skills:

You will have: 

  • A strong understanding of employer branding and a passion for providing exceptional candidate experience during all aspects of the recruitment and onboarding process
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build rapport with candidates and establish strong working relationships with colleagues.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in using applicant tracking systems and other HR/People  software.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to innovate and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong team player who can collaborate effectively with various departments.
  • Ability to influence and work with stakeholders at all levels
  • Desire to improve processes to ensure we are meeting the needs of the business
  • Experience of delivering training to managers on best practice and quality in hiring
